“Do not forget about Ukraine. Do not get tired of Ukraine. Do not let our courage go ‘out of fashion’.” President Zelensky

As winter sets in, none of us need reminding how desperate life is for the people of Ukraine.

Like many others I want to help. Please support my fundraising concert on Friday 17 February 2023, featuring my nephew’s award-winning vocal quartet, Close Enough, who perform a unique mix of classic barbershop numbers and close harmony arrangements from East European folk to Big Band standards. With two encores and a standing ovation, they brought the house down and were voted Best Small Ensemble at the Buxton Festival Fringe in 2022!

Tickets are £25, including a welcome drink.

All funds will go to UNITED24, President Zelensky’s official government charity initiative enabling direct contribution towards Ukraine’s ongoing humanitarian, medical aid and rebuilding programmes.

Visit www.maggieconcert4ukraine.com for all the information you need plus links to buy tickets. We’re also offering the option to reserve a table for 8 people, if you’d like to get a group of friends together. There will be a cash bar serving wine, beer and soft drinks. And possibly a couple of prizes up for grabs too!

It’s a light-hearted evening but with a serious purpose. Please spread the word as much as you can – simply forward this email or send friends the website link.

Thank you for your support! Looking forward to seeing you there.
