Our inaugural Calendar Photography Competition is now open, and we are looking for stunning photos to feature in The Park 2025 Calendar.  Whether your photos capture landscapes or landmarks, views, people or animals, summer or winter – regardless of your style, we would love to see your snaps.  If you would like a chance to see your photos in print, enter the competition by sending your entries to: tone@parknews.co.uk  

Proceeds from the sale of the calendars will help to fund planting, way finder boards and a memorial for Stephen Hyde to celebrate the wonderful work he did for The Park and it’s residents over the years.

The deadline for submissions is 8pm on Friday 1st November 2024. 

Winners prize

After the competition closing date, our panel of judges will select the twelve winning entries. Winners will be contacted via the contact details you have provided with your photo submission. Winning entries will be featured in The Park 2025 Calendar, with your name and photograph description will be featured at the bottom of each image. 

Winners will also receive a complimentary calendar featuring their photograph and your photos featured on our website in a congratulatory write-up.

How to enter

To enter our calendar competition, simply email your photographs to tone@parknews.co.uk Heading your email in the subject line: ‘Calendar Competition Entry 2025’

Be sure to caption each photograph with the title of the image and the location of the photograph taken. We will also require your contact information to be able to notify you that your submission has been received and inform you if you have been selected as one of our twelve to feature in the calendar.

Entries are limited to a maximum of FIVE photographs per person.
Photographs MUST meet the submission criteria below to qualify for the judging and selection process.

The images submitted must meet the following criteria: 

  • Photographs submitted must be Landscape 
  • Photographs must be submitted in the original JPEG file 
  • Photographs MUST be your own work 
  • All photographs must be submitted at a resolution suitable for re-sizing 
  • Photographs should reflect life in The Park 
  • Photographs must be suitable for use as a calendar image 
  • Entrants are under the age of 16 need to instruct a Parent or Guardian to send in the entry of their behalf
