The Park Residents’ Association, The Park Conservation Trust and the NPEL have been working with the City Council to produce a new Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan for the Park Estate Conservation Area. This is an important document that is used in deciding on planning applications relating to both new and existing buildings in the Conservation Area, so could have an important impact on how The Park and its environment looks and feels.

As part of the process of adopting the document as official policy, the City Council has now commenced a period of public consultation where people and organisations can give their views on the Plan. You can read more about this process, read the Plan, and submit your comments here:

www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/park-spd

The Residents’ Association wishes to see the Plan adopted in order to help ensure new development is sympathetic to the historic character of The Park and we hope residents will support it.

The previous version of the plan (which will be replaced by this proposed one), done in 2007 is here:
