We are launching a fund raising campaign to raise £6,000 to plant native plants in the Park Tunnel. We will also add an interpretation board with a dedication to the late Stephen Hyde. He worked so hard with the NPRA in the areas of wildlife enhancement and biodiversity that it seems only apt for him to be remembered in an area that will be enhanced with the planting of native plants and a board recognising the history and the biodiversity of the area.

We are planting the following plants in the tunnel area.

Oxeye daisy, red campion, lesser knapweed, greater knapweed, wild carrot, yarrow, birdsfoot trefoil, selfheal, lady’s bedstraw, salad burnet, common sorrel, meadow buttercup, cowslip and ribwort plantain. You can see how beautiful they will be from the images below.

The NPRA will match our fundraising efforts pound for pound up to £3,000 giving us a great target of £6,000 to raise, so every pound donated will count for double.

We will keep you posted on where we are with the fundraising via email, the website and Facebook. Your support will be very gratefully received.
