DESCRIPTION:This August\, Nottingham Shakespeare Company are bringing something a bit different; Shakespeare on Trial: Romeo and Juliet vs. Macbeth \nIn the afternoon (15:30) they will perform their 1 hour Romeo & Juliet – Shakespeare’s eternal tearjerker in a breakneck rock ‘n’ roll rollercoaster thrill ride. Feel the ‘mad blood stirring’ as we witness the teen lovers hurtle toward their doom. \nIn the evening\, (19:00) things go dark as we welcome the brooding presence of Macbeth\, the weird sisters and his Lady to the stage to play out this terrifying tale of blood\, murder\, death and the horror of unchecked ambition in 50 minutes of enchantment. \nThe audience will be invited to decide… blood or brooding\, passion or power\, witches or weddings?
